Forward Wesley Westendorf will be re-signing with the Danbury Colonials for the 2020-21 season.
Westendorf, an ’02-born Arkansas native, finished the year on a high note, posting four points in his final five games. He grew into a bigger role as the season progressed, playing a gritty style in all three zones.
“I’m returning to the Colonials for the wonderful coaching and community that made me feel at home,” Westendorf said. “I look forward to getting back on the ice especially after COVID-19 ended our season early, because we were all confident that we would have won the division title.”
“Wes developed a great deal during his first season of junior hockey,” said head coach Kevin Cunningham. “He finished the year playing with two of our most talented forwards and he complemented them very well. His speed and aggressive in-your-face style makes him hard to play against and easy to love as a teammate.”
