Tauriainen Joins Jr. Hat Tricks

Forward Matti Tauriainen has joined the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks. The 2001 born Grapevine, TX native spent last season with the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs 18U team. He recorded four goals and two assists during his season in the Granite State. Speed, smarts and grit are the hallmarks of Tauriainen’s game allowing him to have a positive impact for his team all over the ice.

Head coach Kevin Cunningham commented, “We are very pleased to add Matti to our forward lines. He plays the game the right way every day and he is the kind of high character player who will be a huge addition for us. Getting to know Matti over the summer it became clear that he was a player that we wanted here in Danbury.”

“I am extremely excited to be joining the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks this season! We have a great group of guys who are willing to battle and compete every day. The coaching staff truly cares about their players. I am eager to continue my development here in Danbury,” said Tauriainen.

The Jr. Hat Tricks return to action when they host the New Jersey Titans on Wednesday, December 2 at 12:30 PM in Danbury. Ticket information for all remaining home games will be available early next week.
