Forward Nate Mastrony will be back in black-and-orange next season, as the forward has officially re-signed with the Danbury Colonials for the 2020-21 season.
Mastrony, an ’02-born Trumbull, CT native, was a feisty two-way player for the Colonials last season. He accumulated 21 points including 12 goals in 40 games last season in the Hat City. He finished his season on a four-game point streak in 2019-20.
His strong finish to the season caught the attention of the league, as he was an honorable mention for Northeast Division Star of the Week on February 12th following a four-point weekend against the New England Knights.
“I’m honored to be returning to the Colonials next season,” said Mastrony. “It’s a great environment to develop as a player both on and off the ice. I’m looking forward to getting back to work with my teammates.”
“Nate is a great example of a player who developed consistently throughout the season last year,” commented head coach Kevin Cunningham. “He’s very skilled, plays hard and loves to compete. I’m excited to see where his game will grow next season.”
