Forward Misha Mshar has announced his intention to re-sign with the Danbury Colonials for the 2020-21 season.
Mshar, an ’02-born Belarusian forward, finished last season on a tear. He posted 15 points in his final 10 games, compiling 15 goals and 12 assists in 43 total games on the season.
“I wanted to return to the Colonials because I like the work of the coaches,” Mshar said. “They completely support their players. The program offers a lot of training on ice and in the gym.”
Mshar made an immediate impact for the Colonials, potting the first goal of his junior career in his first game. He also recorded his first hat trick on February 15th against the Long Beach Sharks. Mshar registered six multi-point performances over the course of the season.
“I’m very much looking forward to having Misha return,” commented head coach Kevin Cunningham. “He did a great job and grew tremendously, both on and off the ice. His strong finish demonstrated the impact that he can have next season. He really developed into a more well-rounded two-way player.”
“I expect a good and close-knit team next season,” said Mshar. “I expect us to be based on hard work and player growth.”
