NORWICH, CT – The Danbury Hat Tricks (7-9-0-1) defeated the Norwich Sea Captains (2-13-1-0) 4-3 on Friday afternoon.

After trailing 2-1 heading into the final frame, the Hat Tricks erupted for three-straight goals to claim a 4-2 advantage.

Nikita Kovalev kicked off the period, blazing coast-to-coast for a spectacular solo-effort goal and tie the game at two 7:48 into the third.

A few minutes later Kovalev added his second of the day and 10th of the year. Twenty seconds later, Elijah Devereaux extended the Hat Tricks lead to two with his fifth of the year, assisted by Kovalev.

Kovalev and Devereaux both followed up on their Eastern Division Honorable Mention Player of the Week accolades with impactful performances.

Eryk Fancher started the Hat Tricks off in the first period with his second of the season, assisted by Ivan Kovalev.

Goaltender Brennan Churchill played well once again for Danbury, stopping 34 of 37 shots that came his way.

Danbury has won five of its last six games.

The Hat Tricks are back in action on Sunday when they travel to Long Beach for a 10:30 a.m. game.
