JR. HAT TRICKS OPEN UP PLAYOFFS IN LONG BEACH

LONG BEACH, NY – The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks start the 2021-22 Fraser Cup Playoffs on Friday afternoon with Game 1 of the East Division Semifinals against the Long Beach Sharks.

The Sharks will hold home-ice advantage when the series begins in Long Beach on Friday night.

Game 2 will be in Danbury on Saturday night. ALL FANS WILL RECEIVE FREE ADMISSION TO THE GAME.

Long Beach won six of the 10 meetings between the two teams in the regular season, but the Hat Tricks won four of the last five meetings of the year.

Danbury is led by a high-flying trio of forwards as Daniel Khatib (20-28-48), Nick Rogers (27-17-44) and Dylan Walker (20-21-41) lead the way for the Jr. Hat Tricks.

In goal, Brennan Churchill has been sensational this season. In 19 games, Churchill has recorded 11 wins and the Hat Tricks have points in 13 of those games. In the regular season, Churchill has logged a .935 save-percentage and a 2.45 goals-against-average.

Jake Weikel leads Long Beach offensively with 27 goals and 41 points. The Sharks have a strong backstop as well between the pipes. In the regular season, Ryo Murakami had a record of 14-3-1-0 with a .928 save-percentage and 1.21 goals-against average.

Game-time in Long Beach on Friday is at 2 p.m. Game 2 in Danbury on Saturday night will start at 7 p.m. If necessary, the teams will return to Long Beach on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for a decisive Game 3.
