JR. HAT TRICKS GET SECOND-STRAIGHT SHUTOUT VICTORY

DANBURY, CT – The Danbury Hat Tricks (18-11-1-3, 40 pts) used a 34-save shutout from Lorenzo Rossi to beat the Bay State Bobcats (11-23-1-1, 24 pts) 2-0 on Thursday.

Danbury scored twice in a 2:27 stretch just before the midway point of the first period and that was enough to secure the victory.

Cooper Betancourt scored his first goal of the season and Nikita Kovalev scored his team-leading 28th.

Both assisted on each other’s goals to record two-point games. Ivan Kovalev added an assist on Nikita’s goal for his 11th helper of the season.

The 16-year-old Rossi recorded his first-career shutout in the victory.

Danbury is back in action on Friday at noon on the road against the Norwich Sea Captains.
