JR. HAT TRICKS FALL TO LONG BEACH ON THE ROAD

LONG BEACH, NY – The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (18-13-1-3, 40 pts) dropped a tight contest on Saturday night 3-2 to the Long Beach Sharks (20-11-1-3, 44 pts).

Danbury fell behind early, allowing two goals in the first 3:13 of the game. After that, the Hat Tricks’ defense clamped down and didn’t allow another goal until an empty-net tally by Long Beach with 15 seconds left in the game.

Dylan Walker brought the Hat Tricks within one at 6:14 of the third period with his 13th of the season. Oleg Egorov (7) and Elijah Devereaux (21) recorded assists and Danbury had over 13 minutes to find the tying goal.

The Hat Tricks threatened throughout the rest of the third, but the Sharks’ empty-net goal iced the game.

With four seconds left, Giuseppe Bianco scored his first goal of the year from Wesley Westendorf (3) and Jake Harshman (1).

The Hat Tricks are back in action next weekend for two home games on Friday against New Jersey and Saturday against Northeast.
