JR. HAT TRICKS EXPLODE FOR NINE GOALS, BLANK NORWICH

NORWICH, CT – The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (9-10-0-2) cruised to a 9-0 victory over the Norwich Sea Captains (2-17-1-0) on Friday.

The Hat Tricks had seven different goal scorers in the rout. Seven Hat Tricks recorded multiple points in the win, including captain Bryce Wallace’s three assists.

Six Hat Tricks recorded three-point games or better. Elijah Devereaux opened the scoring 1:42 into play on a set-up by Nikita Kovalev. Kovalev added two goals in the second half of the game to finish his three-point performance.

Devereaux assisted on two of the Hat Tricks’ five third-period goals. He now has 16 points on the season.

Nick Rogers scored his ninth and tenth goals of the season in the win, adding an assist on Oleg Egorov’s fourth goal of the season.

Forward Daniel Khatib led the pack with a four-point afternoon. Khatib scored his 12th goal of the season in the third period and added three assists.

Danbury returns home on Sunday night for a contest with Long Beach.
