LONG BEACH, NY – The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (23-15-1-3, 50 pts) knocked off the Long Beach Sharks (25-12-4-3, 57 pts) 3-2 on Sunday as Reese Tamburo scored less than a minute into overtime.

Danbury found itself behind 2-0 after the first 40 minutes against the Sharks. The Hat Tricks turned the game around in the third, starting with an early goal from Roman Winicki (4).

With 5:29 left in regulation, Nick Rogers brought the Hat Tricks back level with his 27th goal of the season. Winicki added an assist for his second point of the night.

Three Hat Tricks recorded multiple points in the win as Rogers assisted on Tamburo’s game-winner and Eli Devereaux assisted on the last two Hat Tricks goals.

Goaltender Brennan Churchill recorded his 11th win of the season, making 47 saves to keep Long Beach at bay.

Danbury is back in action on the road Tuesday afternoon at New Jersey.
