JR. HAT TRICKS CONTINUE CLIMB WITH WIN OVER LONG BEACH

DANBURY, CT – The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (17-11-1-3, 38 pts) defeated the Long Beach Sharks (18-10-1-3, 40 pts) 3-0 on Sunday night.

Danbury inched its way closer to the second-place Sharks with the win on Sunday. The Hat Tricks sit two points behind Long Beach after the win.

Led by Dylan Walker, Martins Leps and Brennan Churchill, the Hat Tricks snagged a win on home-ice.

Walker scored his 11th of the season to open the scoring in the first period. Danbury added a Nick Rogers (18) goal in the second and an Oleg Egorov (6) goal in the third to complete the win.

Leps added two assists in his second game with the Hat Tricks and has recorded five points in his first two games for Danbury.

Goaltender Brennan Churchill made 35 saves for his fifth shutout and eighth win in 12 starts.

Danbury takes the ice again on Thursday at noon when it hosts Bay State.
