The Jr. Hat Tricks have added 2002 goaltender Trey Hirschfield to their 2020-21 roster. Hirschfield is a Littleton, CO native who excelled in the net for Valor Christian High School posting a 1.50 goals against average and .935 save percentage during his senior season.
Hirschfield has appeared in two games already for the Jr. Hat Tricks, recording a 4-2 win against the Bay State Bobcats on October 24. This 25 save performance earned him the second star of the game and an Honorable Mention nod from the NA3HL in the Bauer Stars of the Week on October 27. Overall in his two outings he has recorded a 2.53 goals against average and a .900 save percentage.
“We are very pleased to add Trey Hirschfield to our team. Getting to know him and his family throughout the summer it was clear that he is not only a very talented goaltender, but a great human being who will fit into our team seamlessly and contribute to its identity,” said head coach Kevin Cunningham.
Hirschfield is equally excited to be a part of the Jr. Hat Tricks. He said, “I joined the team because the coaching staff was highly recommended to me by someone who I trust with, not only my hockey career, but also my life decisions. After conversations with the coaching staff I knew that playing with the Jr. Hat Tricks was the best option for me to continue my development and strive to reach the next level in my hockey career.”
The Jr. hat Tricks return to action on Friday afternoon when they host the Bay State Bobcats for a 1:30 PM matinee. Tickets are available for this game and all other remaining home games here: https://www.otitickets.com/event/11.
