HAT TRICKS WIN IN NEW JERSEY ON WEDNESDAY

MIDDLETOWN, NJ – The Danbury Hat Tricks clinched a playoff spot on Monday with an overtime-win over Long Beach.
The Hat Tricks (21-14-1-3, 46 pts) were back in action Wednesday in New Jersey, needing two points against the Titans (14-21-1-0, 29 pts) to stay in the race for second place.
Danbury trailed early on, but responded with Oleg Egorov’s seventh goal of the year and never looked back, taking the game 6-1.
Egorov started a stretch of six-unanswered Hat Tricks goals as they went on to win 6-1. Egorov added another goal later on for his eight of the season.
Roman Winicki also scored twice and now has three goals and five points in four games since joining the team.
Lorenzo Rossi made 25 saves for his seventh win of the season. He has won seven of eight games this year and his lone loss came in a shootout.
They will return home Friday to play Norwich and do not play another home game until the last game of the season on March 5th.
