HAT TRICKS FALL TO GENERALS TO WRAP UP ROAD SLATE

ATTLEBORO, MA – The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (25-16-1-3, 54 pts) fell on Friday night 3-2 to the Northeast Generals (44-2-0-0, 88 pts).

The Generals scored late in the first period and added two more halfway through the second period to build a 3-0 lead. Danbury responded as Daniel Khatib put the Jr. Hat Tricks on the board on a setup by Roman Winicki.

Late in the third period, Oleg Egorov added a goal of his own, assisted by Martins Leps. The Generals committed five penalties in the third period, including a five-minute major by Nick Wracker for kneeing. However, the Jr. Hat Tricks’ power play could not finish on any of its chances.

Goaltender Brennan Churchill faced pressure all night, making 34 saves on 37 shots.

The Hat Tricks are back in action on Saturday at 6 p.m. when they will host the Norwich Sea Captains (8-30-5-1, 22 pts) for the completion of a suspended game as well as the regular-season finale. You can watch the game live on HockeyTV.
