HAT TRICKS CANT RECOVER FROM BIG FIRST, LOSE 5-1.

DANBURY, CT – The Danbury Jr Hat Tricks of the NA3HL were back in action on Saturday coming off of a mid-week win against New Jersey on Wednesday. The Hat Tricks struggled early and never got going offensively, eventually falling 5-1.

Danbury was coming off of a win against the Titans, where they put up a season-high eight goals. Saturday’s contest saw the Hat Tricks score early, with their lone goal coming at 2:08 of the first. Seth Beagle (2) netted a power-play goal.

After that early tally, the Hat Tricks would not score for the rest of the game.

Long Beach exploded for four goals in the first eleven minutes of the game. Zembrzycki tallied two goals, while both Carney and Doggett scored to give the Sharks a 4-1 lead into the second period.

The second period was scoreless, but Long Beach controlled a majority of the play. The shots during the second were 13-7 in favor of the Sharks, giving them a 29-17 advantage on the shot clock along with a 4-1 advantage on the scoreboard heading to the third period.

The lone goal in the third came from Holden Wiltfong, who netted his first career goal at the NA3HL level.

Danbury is back in action tomorrow, as they travel on the road against the Bay State Bobcats. The Hat Tricks look to improve upon their 2-0-1 record against Bay State in the matinee affair.
