The Danbury Colonials have officially inked forward Chase Cummings to a contract for the 2020-21 season.
Cummings, an ’02-born West Chester, PA native, comes to the Colonials from Avon Old Farms School in Connecticut. He was a standout at the Colonials’ August tryout camp, catching the eye of head coach Kevin Cunningham.
“Chase stood out immediately,” explained Cunningham. “His intensity and compete level fit in seamlessly with how we want to play: up-tempo and aggressive.”
“I was overwhelmed when I first showed up with how beautiful the facilities were,” commented Cummings. “I loved the atmosphere and commitment to winning. The coaching staff and returning players made me feel comfortable while being far from home.”
Cunningham was optimistic in picturing Cummings’ role in the Danbury lineup.
“Chase brings a great deal of character and determination along with his speed and skill on the puck. He will be a fantastic Colonial!”
