Goaltender Michael Nardi has officially re-signed with the Danbury Colonials for the 2020-21 season.
Nardi, an ’03-born Hamilton, ON native, finished last season with a 3-3-1 record between the pipes for the Colonials. He won his debut over the previously unbeaten Lewiston/Auburn Nordiques 4-1 on October 8th, earning Northeast Division Star of the Week Honorable Mention.
He also bested the division rival Skylands Kings twice, showing a propensity for big-game outings.
“I’m happy to be rejoining the Colonials for my second season of junior hockey,” said Nardi. “I learned a lot last year, and can’t wait to further my hockey career. I want to get back on the ice and help Danbury bring the NA3HL championship home!”
“Michael is a talented, athletic goaltender with very good instincts,” commented head coach Kevin Cunningham. “He experienced some ups and downs throughout last season, which have prepared him well to take the next step in his development. Goaltending will be a strength for us next season.”
