The Danbury Colonials had another player sign a tender to join the team today, adding Nicholas Rogers to the roster.
Rogers, an ’02-born forward from Broad Channel, NY, is a 2020 Xavier High School and spent last season playing with the New York Aviators 18U team in the USPHL. There he accumulated 19 points in 20 games.
Rogers attended the Colonials’ August camp last year and was a key target for the Danbury coaching staff.
“I chose to play for Danbury because it seems that player development as not only a player but as a person is a priority,” commented Rogers. “Talking to the players and staff has really made it seem like a great place to play and that everyone in the organization will do their best to create a safe environment for me to develop in.”
“Being able to add a player like Nicholas is very exciting for me,” said head coach Kevin Cunningham. “He’s a skilled player who brings size, reach and a very high compete level to our lineup. Each time I saw him play I came away impressed and hoping to add him to our program.”
