Brian Allen Joins as Assistant Coach
The Colonials are pleased to announce the addition of Brian Allen in the role of assistant coach for the NA3HL team. Brian is a Brookfield, Connecticut native who played much of his hockey career in Danbury Arena. He also played prep school hockey at Vermont Academy before a junior career that included stints with the Hartford Junior Wolfpack and the New Jersey Rockets in the Eastern Hockey League. At the conclusion of his junior career Brian enrolled at Worcester State University where he was a member of the varsity team for three season. During his senior year he served as a student assistant coach with responsibilities ranging from practice planning and skill development sessions to film breakdown and game preparations. Colonials head coach Kevin Cunningham is excited about having Brian join the staff. He said: “Coach Allen will be an invaluable resource for our program. I am impressed with his knowledge, energy and passion for the game. He will be a huge help to both myself and our players throughout the season, both on and off the ice.” The inaugural season for the Colonials in the NA3HL starts on September 15 when the team travels to Stockholm, New Jersey to tangle with the Skylands Kings at 7:30 PM.
